Challenges Of Travelling The World

Posted by Lea Woodward 30 April, 2007

…and working as we go.

We’ve had a tough time the past few weeks. Although we were very excited to go to Buenos Aires, it just didn’t suit us. The invasion of mossies, the dog poo on the streets where we lived (Las Canitas) and the fact that we found the Spanish there really hard to understand - all combined to make us miserable.

So we took an executive decision and brought out flights forward and left a week early. Best thing we could have done.

That’s the thing about being able to travel the world and take your work with you…sometimes you make a mistake and end up somewhere you don’t like. All you need to do is realise this, admit it to yourself, then make the necessary changes. That’s also why you need a contingency fund to help out in situations like this where you might need to cover the cost of changing flights.

Now we’re in Toronto, things are great…but more on that to come!
