The 101 Best Tips On Being Location Independent

We’re writing a new book…or more accurately, we are hoping that *YOU* will help us write it!
We would love the community’s help to write an ebook about being location independent – so we can all help more people create this lifestyle for themselves.
We’ve already written our own step-by-step guide about how to do this but that’s based purely upon our experience and how we did it – which is not the only way.
Many of you in our community have done something similar (and also different) and therefore will all have your own best tips and tricks to share which are just as valuable.
We want to collate the best of these tips in one place and give them away for free to anybody who would benefit for a donation to charity (as voted for, but very likely to be Kiva) in place of paying for the ebook.
What We’re Looking For…
If you are location independent – whether nomadic or not – and have an exceptionally useful tip to share which you know will help others do what you’ve done and become location independent…that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
We want to collate the best 101 tips from the community in the following categories:
- Getting Started
- Business & Making Money
- Finances & Money Management
- Travel, Transport & Accommodation
- Destinations & Locations
- Family & Personal
- Technology Tools
The tips should be no more than 3-4 sentences long and unless absolutely necessary, should not contain any links (e.g. to external blog posts or other articles). The only types of links that will be accepted will be to recommended services, tools or resources.
We are aiming to select the very best of the submitted tips and publish them in an ebook in September 2009 – so there is plenty of time to take part. We will be closing submissions for tips on Friday, 14th August 2009.
What’s In It For You…
Because we’re planning to give this ebook away for free – or ask people to donate money to charity (which we’ll be running a poll on to choose before the ebook is published) – this isn’t a money-making project for you, if you choose to take part.
However, you will obviously have the opportunity to be part of something very special to help others create the lifestyle of their dreams with your help.
And there’s also the opportunity to raise your profile by being part of this project – your name, website URL & Twitter ID (if applicable) will be included alongside your tip in the ebook if it’s chosen, so you will get some publicity from this.
